The Airport
Belfast Municipal Airport is a small community airport located on the western shores of Penobscot Bay. Built during WW2, the field has been home to a number of flight schools over the years. Wildshore Aviation continues this tradition of providing flight instruction for the people of Midcoast Maine.
The Fleet
The Piper Cherokee 140 has been a classic training aircraft since the 1960s, and thousands of pilots have flown it for their initial training. Our recently upgraded avionics bring the technology of the glass cockpit into a classic aircraft.
Aircraft Rate: $170 an hour
Instructor Rate: $70 an hour
The Instructors
The instructors of Wildshore Aviation have been brought together by their shared passion for flight, and their desire to promote a new model of aviation training. By placing the emphasis on helping both instructor and student, Wildshore creates a safe space for a community-driven flight training operation.
